A delicious pineapple glazed ham recipe.

Hard

Ingredients

200g brown sugar
1 bottle of beer (such as Guinness or Peroni)
Juice of an orange
1 jar of your favourite jam
Fresh Aussie pineapple, sliced
Spices: star anise, cloves, cinnamon (to taste)

Method

  1. In a saucepan, combine the brown sugar, beer, orange juice, jam, sliced pineapple, and spices. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 20 minutes.
  2. Preheat your oven to 180°C.
  3. While the glaze is simmering, prepare the ham by removing the skin from the ham using your hands, make small incisions in the surface of the ham and fill these holes with the sliced pineapple.
  4. Pat half of the brown sugar onto the surface of the ham.
  5. Begin glazing the ham with the prepared mixture.
  6. Reduce the oven temperature to 150°C. Glaze the ham every 15 minutes for 1.5 hours, ensuring it is well-coated throughout cooking.
